St Lucia
I'm trying to help a friend plan her honeymoon. If you've ever been to St. Lucia, what is the best part of the island and what hotel did you stay in? They want something fun and doesn't have to be adults only.

One of the nicest and most luxurious resorts is Jade Mountain. There is absolutely nothing like it.

Yes she looked into it cause it has such great reviews but it's $5k per person for a week! She wanted to keep it at $5k total lol. But thank you!

Jade mountain was the nicest. A couple of years ago Sugar Beach (a Viceroy hotel) opened and it is just as nice.

Re: St Lucia
8 years ago we stayed at the Sandals Grande and had a great time. That might be a bit on the pricer side, but there is a smaller one that sandals owns (Halcyon), and a little cheaper but the good thing is that you can go to all three properties.

Had a nice time at Rex Resorts not luxurious but on what I researched to be one of the best beaches in St Lucia. Not many Americans there, mostly Europeans andfrom the UK, walking distance to some amazing restaurants. Staff was great too.

Re: St Lucia
It really depends on what they like. The island is small but it can seem huge because there is so much variation. Jade Mountain as othes have said is amazing, but it's not for me because I don't want to sleep with a mosquito net.
I have stayed at and toured the Sandals Resorts and I could speak with you or your friend at length about those 3 resorts. The Sandals resorts are in the Castries area, which is the capital and the cruise port. They are far from the main airport (UVF) but they have nice beaches. Down the coast you have different resorts like Ti Kaye village in protected coves or with vantages to the pitons, but for the traditional beach, bar and pool, honeymoon, the Sandals resorts are more what you're looking for. St. Lucia is very rustic as compared to many other islands. I've done what feels like every excursion on St. Lucia and I've been to all different parts of the island, multiple cultural and nature sites, multiple dive and snorkel sites, etc. I'd have to know more what they are looking for though or I will be typing 100 pages

Re: St Lucia
If it doesn't have to be adults only, Coconut Bay is close to the airport on the Southern part of the island. it's close to the pitons and some of the nature sites., but it's kind of just as far from soufriere (where the drive in volcano is) as the Sandals resorts are. A lot of the tours are by boat, which makes anywhere on the coast good.
Now I want to go back soooo badly.
