Morning and getting out of the house...

Why is it that we pretty much have the same routine trying to get out of the house to get to school, but they act surprised each time and take FOREVER?!
Is it just my house or is this normal?

Oh, and then getting out of the car is fun too. They fight over which side they want to get out. I'm usually standing in the freezing cold, snow or rain waiting.

I also hate prepping to get out of the house. DS runs away from me when I try to put on his shoes and jacket on. Sometimes he kicks his shoes off. Then I pretty much have to pick him up and take him out of the house and into the car... not sure how I am going to be able to do this when I am further along in pregnancy!

Its normal. This is what I do: put clothes in their rooms to get dressed before they come downstairs. No TV until responsibilities are taken care of(dressed, shoes on etc.) As far as the car. We assigned them spots. Thats' it. That's where you sit. Still stressful:)
