presents for kid parties
Ds is invited two 2 year bdays for his little school friends.... what do you guys get as gifts for these?
I just feel like if we were having a party for DS, the last thing we would want is more toys!

I usually ask the mom if they have a preference toys, clothes, books, or GC.

I try to get books, but I've only been invited to parties of kids where I am close friends with the mom since DS is not in school/day care. I always ask if they want toys, puzzles, or books. And I always include a gift receipt!

For school friends I usually give a small toy and a couple of books or puzzles.

I usuallly ask the parent if their child can use anything specific...most of the time I am told clothes.

I think an arts/craft/activity set is a good idea or books. I would just make sure you include a gift receipt.

I usually get a toy and something educational such as flash cards, or those books that teach numbers letters and colors. Depending on the childs age of course.

I love money (cash or check or gift card - doesn't matter), arts and crafts supplies, books and clothes. I don't usually want toys but it IS what everyone does usually buy.
