BF Question: Supply decrease?

In the last few days, my supply seems to be lower - mainly when I pump. If I'm home and BF'ing, he gets what he needs and we're good to go. But when I go to pump at work I'm just not getting the output I need to be able to produce three 6 oz bottles for him that he takes while I'm at work. I jut started Mother's Milk tea today so hoping that works - but wondering if others noticed a dip in supply around 6 month mark?

Did he start solids recently?? If so he might be eating a little less when BFing so your body is adjusting.

I'm going thru the same thing! DS is 7 months and out of nowhere I am struggling to pump enough at work for his daycare bottles the next day. My period came back at 12 week pp and has been consistent every 4 weeks since then so its not that for me. No ideas for you but I feel your pain, its stressful!! Mine is just pumping related as well. He is fine nursing. I started mothers milk tea today too and plan on try switching out some pump parts to see if that helps.

Try switching out the membranes.

As another poster said, he may be nursing less if he is eating solids and your body is adjusting. DS went from drinking 16 ounces at daycare from 4-7 months to drinking 6-10 ounces from 7-now (9 months).

In order to keep up with my DS' 16 ounces, I had to add an extra pumping session. I pumped in the am before he woke up, while I put on my makeup and did my hair. Yay for hands-free pumping bras!

I try to add in an extra session in the morning before going to work, but he sometimes wakes up and wants to eat right before I leave, so I nurse him instead of pumping. Sometimes he also wakes up in the middle of the night (rare now), but it happens and he nurses.

I'll check replacing parts too and see if that helps. At work I'm using a hospital grade pump which I hoped would produce more. We'll see how it goes as I add in more solids - hopefully that helps things out.

It's super stressful just because I want to be able to provide enough for him - but realize maybe it just won't work out that way. We'll see.

I've definitely heard of a supply dip around the 6-7 month mark. I think that's when mine started dipping too.

Have you tried increasing your water intake and extending your pump session time. You mention you are pumping enough when your home, but struggling when you are at work. Try watching videos on your cell or if possible FaceTime with your baby when you are pumping....just being away from the baby can decrease your supply.
