C/S Hospital Charge at NSUH/LIJ Manhasset?
I'm due to have a c/s in april and my insurance company told me I'm responsible for 10% coinsurance. Does anyone know how much the bill came to? When I delivered 5 years ago I have different insurance and I didn't owe anything.

C/S Hospital Charge at NSUH/LIJ Manhasset?
I don't know the charge. But my insurance has negotiated rates with in-network providers and I pay 10% of that amount. So, I would need to call my insurer to find out. Usually, I would need a procedure code, but I would think they could look up c-section. And make sure they include eeverything - anesthesia, hospital stay, whatever else is usual.

Idk if this will help give you an idea, but total for 2 nights, vaginal, with no drugs was about 40k for me and dd in July before any insurance. At least it can give you a semi idea.

When I delivered at LIJ I got a bill a couple months after delivery and I think my OOP was like $500. That was just for me. My DD who had a 100k bill from the NICU OOP was $500 too.

It was LIJ..that was her bill and my bill combined though. One was 19 and the other 21, just can't remember whose was whose. After insurance we still paid about 4k

I was at LIJ Manhasset for a C/S - was there for 3 nights. Before insurance, I think the cost was $30K.

That was exactly my bill before insurance too. DD needed to stay in the NICU for the two nights because I ran a fever. Luckily my insurance covered it 100%. Factor in the possibility of the NICU too.
Just reread your post and I am sorry but I misread it. I think I should go to sleep haha. I didn't have a c/s.

Total bill for DD and I was around 3K for my c/s. I ended up with HELLP though and had some medical expenses as a result of that.

I had a 10% co-insurance at Manhasset.
I don't remember each break-down or a regular total even but between my c-section and the anesthesia and the hospital stay... I think it was like over $2,000 still... it all adds up.

Same for us, but I know what my eob said. Are they in network? It all depends on the negotiated rates. The billed charges for my stay (7 night stay and c-section) was about $100k but the negotiated rates brought it down to about $40k.
