Nice venue for a small Christening
Would need to accommodate about 20 people. Everywhere I call is a minimum of 40 or 50 people. I was thinking a nice restaurant where they could set up a long table for 20 people would be perfect. Max $50 pp. TIA

Re: Nice venue for a small Christening
Check out Louie's Oyster bar and grille. Our family did this for a Christening & a baby shower. Their food is great, the view is amazing and they have different areas for different #s of guests.
Another place we were looking at was Giardino's.
Lots of places should do this. They may not close off the restaurant, but with a good group, they should be able to separate you.

don't know what area you are looking in, but a few ideas:
View or Snapper Inn in Oakdale Andreas 25 in Woodbury Irish Coffee House or Shandon Court in Islip

Re: Nice venue for a small Christening
We had a small luncheon at La Famiglia in Babylon Village for 15-20 people. Instead of setting us up in the catering room they set up a long table in the main dining room. We had a beer and wine package all the food was done family style, we paid below $50pp. The food was delish and they sent us home with the leftovers, we just had to bring in our own cake.

What area are you looking in? I had my baby shower at Paddy's Loft in Massapequa, they have a small room in the back that could fit up to 35 people. I had about 30 and I thought that was probably the most I would go. The food was good and prices were good.
I also checked out Runyon's in Seaford and they also had a small room that fit 25-30 and the prices were good too.

Sorry I forgot to mention I'm looking anywhere in Nassau. By the water sounds nice but a lot of these places don't open until memorial day weekend, right? Or not? The Oyster bay restaurant sounds nice. Long Beach, Island Park, Oceanside. Any area like this.

Milleridge Inn has all different size party rooms upstairs. We had a shower there and had a room for about 40 people but there were at least 2 smaller rooms up there for I would say 20 people. One had a long table for a big dinner party. That would be good for 20 people I think. We paid like 40 something pp and that included wine and a punch.

Fisherman's Catch in Point Lookout is on the water. (There are a few restaurants on that strip, I think - I don't remember what is and isn't open anymore from Sandy)
Allegria Hotel in LB does a nice brunch.
Mio Posto in Oceanside

George Martin in Rockville Centre. You can get the private room any time or the whole restaurant at lunchtime on Sat and Sun (I forget if there was a minimum headcount to get the whole restaurant, but there is no extra fee for that). We had my son's smallish first birthday party there and were pleased.

We had our son's christening party at Sullivan's Quay in Port Washington. I think we had around 35 people. We had a nice little area of the restaurant to ourselves (not a private room, but a bit separated from the main section). The staff were all super friendly and accommodating and prices were much lower than other places we had looked. Plus the food is great! We did a brunch.

Cafe baci in Westbury on old country rd. It's not private but they will section off an area of the restaurant for you and your guests. The food is amazing and I believe packages start at like $25/pp.

Bridgeview Yacht club has a really nice brunch for $50/pp I think. It's on the water and beautiful.
