Disney: Boardwalk vs all star sports
I know it's a Huge difference....last time we stayed at the contemporary and loved the monorail convenience but are not looking to spend that much this time.....with dining, All star sports is about 1300 less that Boardwalk. Is the location of the boardwalk worth 1300 more? I have 4 kids 7 and under so convenience is def important! We really only use our rooms to sleep.
Was also considering staying off Disney but like I said I like convenience and this that Disney transport can't be beat....opinions?

I can't imagine staying at Sports with 6 people in a room. It's tiny and you really can't even compare a value to a deluxe.

I would personally stay off site in a timeshare with 2-3 bedrooms and rent a car. Everyone will be so much more comfortable.

I guess it depends on what is important to you. If you will not utilize any of the amenities at the Boardwalk, and will spend the majority of your time in the parks, then you are probably better off saving the money and staying at the value. That's a HUGE price difference, and the money you would be saving could be your spending money and then some. If you don't mind the small beds, small rooms, minimal amenities, no frills rooms, then I would stay at the Sports! We stayed there last February for 2 nights (free with air miles) and it was fine since we were in the parks the entire time. We stayed at the Yacht Club (near Boardwalk) over the Summer and I picked that hotel since we wanted a lot of relaxation time in the pool, etc.

I think it depends on what your kids like to do. If their favorite parks are epcot and hollywood studios, then you cant beat the location of the boardwalk.
I don't think you can compare the hotels at all.
If you are looking for something less expensive than yhe contemporary but easily accessible to.magic kingdom, consider wilderness lodge. Or, if you are looking for a moderate level, the cabins at fort wilderness are pretty cool - and magic kingdom is an easy boat ride away.

You are comparing a deluxe and a value hotel. I don't think you can compare the 2 since boardwalk is better in all categories.
If I were you, I would look into Wilderness Lodge because it has direct access to MK and reasonably priced.
I would also look into Dolphin/Swan for better pricing than Boardwalk with similar location and amenities.

I've stayed at the All Star Music and I have to say I was not in the least bit impressed. The rooms are small, more outdated, and even the grounds/pools were really unimpressive.
I would either choose the Boardwalk or possibly the Swan. I stayed at the Swan years ago and loved it.

Total apples and oranges. Are those theonly choices available on your dates? have you asked an agent if they can find space for you elsewhere? I would suggest Wilderness Lodge. It's going to be more on par with Boardwalk prices but offers great proximity to Magic Kingdom

Love the boardwalk. Can walk to Epcot and a short boat ride to Hollywood studios. My girls loved the pool and playground
