Asbergers suport? Group?
Hey Moms,
I am looking for an online (or maybe even real life) support group for Asperger's.
I need info. I need some help and not sure where to start.
Wondering if anyone has any experience or can point me in the right direction. Its a 15 year old niece of mine.

Asbergers suport? Group?
I can ask my DH's Step mom. My DH's step brother was diagnosed when he was in his early 20's and it was a very rough road. It got so bad he took his own life about 7 years ago.
I know she found a few groups but there were very few....I think there are more now but I will ask her.

Adelphi University psych dept has groups for teens and young adults. It's their counseling center. Look up "social training center" and Adelphi.

She can try looking for a support group on Facebook. I am apart of a few ASD moms one that has been very helpful for advice/venting.

http://www.ahany.org/ is a great organization for Asperger and High Functioning Autism. They would be a good place to start.
