Am I the only one who doesn't like TCP 3-in-1 jacket?
I used to buy it every year for DDs, but stopped last year. I don't like that it no longer has the detachable hood. I don't like them to have a hood on, bunched up behind them in carseats.
I've been looking for an alternative, but can't find one anywhere.

I got it for my daughter when she was an infant and wasn't a fan. The fleece was too small by itself (sleeves were too short) and the shell was huge. The last two years I've gotten one from osh kosh instead. Last year I got one with a removable fleece but this year I got the one piece heavyweight jacket and I've been happy with both of them.

Are the hoods removable?

I got one as a hand me down and I didn't like that when DS took off his jacket the fleece part wound come inside out. I even tried sewing it and it didn't work. Gap and Old navy have ones I think they have detachable hoods

I hAve a hand me down not a huge fan but mine does have the option of zipping the fleece in and the arms cam be loops and buttoned down to the sleeve of the jacket.
Last two year I used the lands end jacket I am getting her one again next year. They have 3-1 don't know if the hood removes. In general I am not fab of 3-1 so I don't buy them.

I bought one 2 years ago & it was fine. The one I bought this year fits like crap. I hate it so much. The fleece bunches up & my son cannot get his hands through. Never again.

The 4 in I bought last year did. I wish I'd done that one again this year. The one piece jacket I got this year doesn't but that doesn't bug me. I just miss having the flexibility of using the pieces separately.

I just posted about this jacket yesterday. Last year's jacket was good for very cold weather (iirc, the tag said it was good to -15). This year just says "our warmest". DD doesn't need it all the time, but I bought it in case it snows, when it's very cold, and for our vacation up north...I have a couple weeks to return, so I'm going to look around. I found an oshkosh that is thicker, but no matching snow pants.

My DS has had them the past two years, he's warm but I agree that the fit is weird. The fleece part is always so much smaller than the shell. He's 21 months old, I got him the 18-24 months jacket for this year and it's HUGE on him, beyond huge. He's actually wearing his CP coat from last winter, size 9-12 months and it fits him perfect.
The past few years I've been getting my DD Gap Kids coats. I LOVE those. She always gets two years out of them and they are well made and so warm.

Yes - they run big. I have both kids in their normal sizes and they are huge. I guess that's good, they can each use them next year. I think I am going to go with the Lands End coats going forward though.

Same here. Hate the fleece for this reason. It's also way too staticky. And I bought two jackets one for my two-year-old and one for my four-year-old, and both zippers are constantly splitting from the bottom up. Very annoying. I'm back to Lands end from now on.
