Stroller/Infant Car Seat Help!
Hi, parents! I'm just putting the finishing touches on my registry, as I'm due with baby #1 at the end of April. As a shower present, my MIL is very graciously footing the bill for our stroller -- the Uppa Baby Vista 15 which would have been way out of our price range. Now, we would need to purchase a car seat to fit onto the system and will be putting it on our registry.
The one that fits directly (no adapter needed) is the Uppa Baby Mesa but I don't love it -- seems bulky and heavier than other brands -- I feel like for the $279 price tag that I should be in love with it. They have an adapter for Chicco which fits their Key Fit 30 infant seats -- those seem to be lighter and get great reviews. Can anyone offer advice who has used either? Uppa Baby stroller with Uppa Baby infant seat or Uppa Baby stroller with Chicco Key Fit 30 infant seat? Thank you!

Stroller/Infant Car Seat Help!
I don't have this one, but look at how the seat fits in the adaptor and also how the stroller folds with the adaptor on. You can have someone show you at buybuybaby. I think uppa also has an adaptor for Maxi Cosi so you can look at that seat too. If the infant seat you want can't be used with the stroller, then look at snap n go. Good luck!

Stroller/Infant Car Seat Help!
I have the chicco car seat and love it. My recommendation would be to skip the adaptor and get a snap n go like the pp recommended.

Re: Stroller/Infant Car Seat Help!
I have that stroller and used the chicco keyfit 30. It was the lighter one out of most other options and very easy to use. I never bothered getting a snap n go since the uppababy was such an awesome stroller. Yes, the stroller itself was much bulkier and heavier than a snap n go, but it was $$, so if someone spent the money for me to have it, I was gonna use it. It's such a smooth ride and I love that the infant seat sits very high on it compared to others.
I'll be using the chicco keyfit/uppababy combo again for DD when she's born in March.

Re: Stroller/Infant Car Seat Help!
I have the uppababy Cruz and the chicco key fit 30. It works well with the adapter. I LOVE the stroller. I waned the Mesa install but it was sold out every where when my son was born last year.
Are you sure about the Vista? If you are worried about bulk and planning to use car seat adapter I'd consider the Cruz. Much light than Vista. No need having the bassinet. The Cruz is about 200 dollars less.

Did you ever look at the Uppa Baby Mesa that fits directly into the Vista w/o an adapter? Or just go straight to the Key Fit? We were at Buy Buy Baby last night playing around with things -- the only adapter they had out was the Chicco one but for the Uppa Baby Cruz. It did fit into the Vista stroller, but the car seat never really "clicked" in to place. Was hoping to go to a different location to see if they had the actual adapter for the Vista to use with the Chicco so I could see exactly how it would work.
