Anyone play music for their belly?
I've been playing some Pandora a couple times a week when I'm sitting at my desk for a good stretch. I just put the ear buds in the band of my pants! I keep the volume relatively low, less than half strength, and it's on classical music, but I wondered if anyone had asked their doctor about this. I just thought it might be nice for her. I realize it's pretty muffled anyway, probably. Thoughts?
ETA: Now I just read it's not a good idea to put the headphones right on your belly, just to play your stereo.
I did it all of 4 times, so I hope that's ok!

Re: Anyone play music for their belly?
Not yet but DH bought me Belly Buds for Christmas so I need to set them up and stick em on. I'm looking forward to seeing how the baby reacts to the Beatles

That's why I was thinking it was a good idea! I saw the belly buds in BBB. I hope I didn't have it too loud or anything. I just kept it on for a few minutes!
Let me know if you like them! I was thinking about getting them for a friend.

I had belly buds when I was PG. We played music for DS all the time, he loves music now and the music we played for him a lot in the womb still calms him down when he is crying.

That's great to know! About how loud do you put the belly buds? I just hope I didn't have it too loud!

Re: Anyone play music for their belly?
I think the belly buds are made so the loudest volume is still safe for baby.

Yes, I was just reading about this. There is a volume limit. Did you ever attempt to listen to them? Was it very soft? I'm just trying to gauge if I messed up big time playing the baby through my regular ear buds. Sigh.

Re: Anyone play music for their belly?
I'm sure it is fine, they have a lot of padding in there. I went to a concert when I was 29/30 wks pg (the bass was soo loud) and DS has had no hearing issues.

Re: Anyone play music for their belly?
I guess I'm feeling nutty today! I decided to call the nurse at my OB's office for her take and she couldn't really understand why playing music like that would be bad. She said she's sure it's fine!

I would never think that would be bad...I've done it from time to time and assumed the baby barely heard it. I figured that I can barely hear it unless the bud is actually in my ear.

Re: Anyone play music for their belly?
DD would kick a lot when I listenned to music in the car on my drive home from work.
Def did not occur to me to play classical music to my belly.
