I have Pali Torino in Espresso, but they make a shade called Slate that might be just whT you're looking for. Behrs has it on the floor for you to see.

That is one I was actually looking at! I think I need to see it in person. Do you have the dresser too? Are the drawers slow closing?

No, they're not but they don't slam, either. For DDs, I have Volterra. Not sure if it comes in slate, but I am sort of wishing I had that dresser and chest for DDs as well. It's much bigger than Torino. However, I love the detail on Torino much better. I have both the dresser and chest of drawers on both sets.
