Anyone been to Hilton Head in late April? Is it typically warm enough to enjoy the beach?

My parents live in Hilton Head for most of the year - I think April is still too cold for the beach.
I however am a wuss, and people do swim in the (very frigid) ocean at that time. I am sure there will be nice days for sitting out in the sun, but to me beach weather is 80++.

I'm so glad you asked this question. We went in September 2013 and we're dying to go back, but because I'm a teacher it's either February or April. February looked like it was too cold.
