Would you go?

Winter break started out really bad. My 3 yr old had a fever Sunday. Monday I took him to the doctors and he tested for the flu. Tried Tamiflu, which was a nightmare giving to him and then he had a bad reaction to it.
Tuesday my 5 yr old threw up at school so had to run and pick him up so had to get a babysitter ASAP to watch my sick 3 yr old.
Rest of the week was pretty quiet. Just taking care of 2 sick boys on the couch. By Thurs/Friday they seemed better and took them outside Saturday for a while. Only thing left is just a cough on and off they have.
DH wound up getting sick Wednesday and was out of it Thursday and Friday.
Let's just say it hasn't been fun, but everyone has been fever free for days (boys since Thursday).
We were supposed to go to the city with friends today, but bc DH was sick he had off Wed and Friday so had to push his work to this week. He's a contractor so when he doesn't work he doesn't get paid and all jobs get pushed back.
So my friends offered if we want we can go with them. Drive to them half hour then take the ferry in with them. Plan on going around noon. I already got the day off.
My thing is I feel bad DH not being with us. Also I'd be with their family whom I am very close with so no need for help bc the kids are all good together. Hers are girls 7 and 4. They want to be there all day and do American Girl, etc. I feel like if DH were there and the boys were tired at least we can go home.
Thoughts? Worth dragging them in for the day when they are finally better?
I just have bad cabin fever so was looking forward to this, but thinking it may be too much.

Well, didn't get any responses, but decided not to go. Boys seem ok, but just lots boogers now. It would be different if DH was there too and we drove in. We're going to see the other family for NYE anyway.

i think you did the right thing. your boys probably wouldn't want to do american girl then you are alone for that time

I think you did the right thing as well. With everyone being sick or just getting over it I'd take some down time to recuperate. Maybe go in next weekend instead.
