Pay rate for nanny to care for two children
Hi everyone,
We currently pay our nanny $500 a week for 5 days and are expecting another baby on the way. By the time our baby is born, our son will be 2 years old and attending nursery school Monday- Friday (9:00am- 1:00pm). Afterwards, he will be dropped off at the home while i go to work until 7pm.
Does anyone have an idea of what she should be paid? She has been amazing with our son and helps with laundry, cleaning etc etc. I want to make sure she gets compensated fairly.

$500/week for all that is a real bargain. I'm surprised you found someone for so cheap, but I'd say to bump it up at least $50-$100/week with another child, especially if she's helping with laundry and cleaning. We paid more than that for our nanny for 1 child and she didn't clean or do laundry!

She really is heaven sent! And she does all of that without us asking her to. I always give her an extra $50-$60 just to show my appreciation. I was thinking of bumping her to $150 extra per week..:
