Any Recommendations for RCI All Inclusives

Hoping for a Caribbean vacation next year. Looking for an all inclusive I can book through RCI. Thanks for any insight/recommendations.

Re: Any Recommendations for RCI All Inclusives

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I am yet to find an all inclusive through RCI that is a good deal. Whenever I cross reference a resort with expedia/travelocity, it is always more expensive to go with RCI. You would much better off booking either a domestic trip or non- all inclusive with RCI.

I've found the same thing. The all inclusive upgrade is so expensive when you book through rci that you can usually find a better deal online.

I have DVC points I can trade in for accommodations. If I can get an all inclusive, then the only cash I have to lay out is for airfare. It may be a bit high point trade in, but right now, after 2 trips in my use year, and no way I can go back in my current use year, I have a TON of points to bank.

Therefore, I repeat my request, for recommendations for RCI all inclusives.

See, that's where you're wrong. You can not use points towards the all inclusive fees. Those are paid in addition to your exchange. So you will be paying the airfare and a daily rate towards the resort. You will actually probably have a lower point trade then a non all-inclusive resort because you will have to pay additional money.

Thanks for that, but when I log into RCI through DVC it doesn't come up that way. It shows the DVC points necessary for the all inclusive trade, and doesn't say a thing about extra fees. Clearly, I need to do more investigation.

Re: Any Recommendations for RCI All Inclusives

If you are on RCI's website (I'm on the full version on my computer) there is a tab that says "All Inclusive Fees" and it breaks down the additional fees that you need to pay once you book the week using points. We did do it once in Cancun through my mother in law's interval international points and got a great deal, but I think the fees have increased significantly, at least from what we have seen. My husband had a wedding at the Moon Palace in Cancun last year and it was so outrageously priced that we booked it through travelocity instead and saved a ton!

We used RCI and paid the all inclusive for a resort in cancun - kids were free. I have to look up the name can't think of it right now.

Re: Any Recommendations for RCI All Inclusives

My mom just called me and she just spoke to someone at RCI...the woman randomly recommended a resort in Cozumel that she just got back from that had great rates for the all-inclusive and she thought was amazing...Park Royal Cozumel...the rates are so reasonable (compared to the Palace resorts, etc.). We are actually looking into it for next year because my parents have so many points that they need to use.

Any Recommendations for RCI All Inclusives

I find Mexico All Inclusives to be worth it through RCI, anywhere else it too expensive. Also, you cannot use points toward the all inclusive fee, it is an extra expense. We have been traveling with RCI since I am a kid.
