anyone have 3 car seats in their car?

here is my situation.
i have a newborn and a toddler.
newborn has infant graco carseat base in car. toddler has britax convertible. i now have to start bringing my niece to school during the week. she is also in a convertible car seat. i have an SUV but i can't seem to fit two convertible seats and the infant seat together.
is this common? any suggestions for people with 3 kids on how to make this work? TIA

Different car seat or a different car. Sorry. Perhaps if you listed the make and model of your car, others who have the same car can advise on the proper car seat.

my sister has a Honda Pilot and fits 3 car seats. I know she has a britax convertible, and a graco infant seat - not sure what the third one is.

You may have to get a different car seat. We wound up get a Radian and now we can fit that and 2 graco infant seats into my lexus.

Britax seats are pretty wide. Do you know what seat your niece is in??

The Harmony Defenders (available on walmart.Com or directly from Harmony only) are about $115 a seat and are the narrowest foward facing/high back/no back seat on the marker. Two of them and an infant seat would probably work.

I wouldn't spend the $$ on a diono if you're not going to be using it rear facing.

both toddlers are 2 1/2. my niece has an alpha omega elite. they are both forward facing. baby is 2 months old.

The AOE is a BEAST of a seat. It's also short lived and makes a horrible booster because it doesn't provide a good belt fit. You might be able to get away with one defender the infant seat and the britax. I'd have to do a little more research on the width and contour of your back seat.

We have three britax car seats, but we have a minivan and use our third row.

I have 3 across in a 2008 Chevy Trailblazer, But they're not touching and they've been checked by the county to make sure it's ok. From Driver over to passenger I have:
A Britax Boulevard, A Diono Radian and a Graco Sungride 30 baby seat.

I can't help you with the car seat but will just say that is ALOT OF WORK to get them all in & out of car. Are you sure you want this job?

I have 3yr old twin boys & bringing them into school today with all the rain was HORRIBLE.

Can you take the armrests of the convertible seats? That will give you more room.

I have an Acadia and I fit 3 convertibles across one row. I have 3 Radians now but when I was still using the infant carrier I had it in between two Graco Myrides and they all fit too.

Get the radian! Use it for toddler for a bit until newborn can take advantage.
