Stony Brook Family Medicine Peds??
A woman at work was talking about Stony Brook Family Medicine -- does anyone take their child or children there??
I'm looking to possibly switch pediatricians and she raved about this place. I want to ask her for specifics but, my luck, she's on vacation for two weeks!
Anyone go there?
ETA -- Evidently, it is Friendly Medical Group AKA Stony Brook Family Medicine.
The docs are: Doughty, Benitt, Ruben, Waterman, Bowers.
Anyone have experiences here??

Stony Brook Family Medicine Peds??
I think our Dr that just left our practice went there. His name is Dr. Lau. We loved him, when I found out he was leaving I almost cried lol. He doesn't rush you out, explains everything in depth, and he's really down to earth and funny. I'm tempted to see if they accept our insurance cuz I'm not crazy with the Dr we see now. He's a nice guy but it's hard to understand him so asking questions and stuff is kinda hard.

Several of my friends use and love Dr. Amy Goldberg , who isn't far from Friendly Medical. Many of them switched from Friendly to her because she practices on her own and according to them has a more personal relationship with her patients.

Stony Brook Family Medicine Peds??
Almost every single mom that I know (i live in the area) goes there. I have never heard a complaint and they all love it. I personally don't go there (I used Mid Suffolk Peds) but that is mainly because I've been using them since DD was here and I'm too lazy to switch lol.

That is who I used right after my dd was born. I switched to Lake Grove Pediatrics when my dd was 5 months. The main reason I left is because we never ever saw the same Dr. I hate when the Dr. barely knows your child or you. I also got horrible advice about bf and that was the end for me.
