Potty training help please!

I don;t know what to do about DS. He will be 4 in 3 weeks. His twins sister has been potty trained since February. I know boys are way different than girls so I didn't expect this to be easy with him. DS was almost fully potty trained back in march/April. But after about a week he fully regressed (which I've heard happens a lot especially with boys). I've tried no diapers or underwear and no pants on him and running him to the potty when he is about to go or catching him in the act and trying to take him to the potty. I've tried putting him in underwear and taking him to the potty when the timer went off. The problem is most of the time he wants nothing to do with even sitting on the potty. He screams bloody murder and kicks and cries and just wont sit on it at all. He doesn't even want to go into the bathroom. We've tried the regular potty. We've tried a little potty and leaving it in the living room or his bedroom. He has absolutely no interest. School does not help at all with potty training. They will change his pull up and will remind the kids to go to the potty if they have to every 30 minutes but that's the extent. We've tried a reward system. Sticker charts and prizes for going on the potty. Nothing worked. We tried a sticker chart and told him he'll get his own set of golf clubs when he fills up the chart. He really wants clubs and to play golf with DH. That didn't work. I don't want to push him if he's not ready but literally he has not an ounce of interest in it. Should i just leave him until he is ready? Anything else I could try? TIA!

Have you talked to you doctor? I have no advice, but at 4 I would think he knows when he has to go and it is a control issue.

I am definitely going to bring it up at his 4 year old check up in a few weeks. I also feel at 4 he should know when he has to go. He's just not telling me and when I ask him he tells me he doesn't have to. If I just bring him to the bathroom he freaks out. When we talk about it he freaks out. He pretty much completely shuts down when it comes to potty training. To the point where he throws tantrums, he won't talk but instead will grunt or scream really loud over and over again. I am definitely going to talk to the dr.

This sounds like a control issue.
