Never realized how some things are not
Yes. The little gym in Merrick has good weekend classes and Evan the owner is amazing. It's dissapointing to hear kidvilles response even though I love closer to kidville I will still take my kids to the little gym bc they are more accommodating.

Plus one. I love Evan and Eileen! I miss that place.
And Gymboree is the worst store to shop in with a stroller. I don't get it at all

Baby and Me classes that are only mid-day Monday-Friday. How about mothers that WORK!! Ever hear of having a class on Saturday or Sunday?! I am tempted to start my own baby and me class for those who are only free on the weekends!!
Never had a problem with classes on the weekend. I always went to Gymyboree or Little Gym. They have Saturday morning classes.
The one near me has ONE... ONE class on a Satuday at 8am. That's it. Same with Little Gym which is like a Gymboree setting. The problem is that DH also works on Saturday -- just during the day. For us both to attend and enjoy being with Julian, we would need a Sunday OR a few more options on a Saturday.
Maybe one day :)
I know there's a Gymboree at The Source that has Sunday but that is a 45 minute drive for us -- the sad part is, we are so desperate we considered it!

Yeah
DS is 14 months so we just made it by a few months. We went in there to look into it around 12 months.

Re: Never realized how some things are not "parent friendly"
I realize this thread is old but I wanted to add to it. I went to the library in my town and looked at the Children's activities calendar and they have evening activities almost every night AND on Saturday. When I asked, they told me they do it to accommodate working parents and the group they use to organize the activities does it at many different libraries on the island. The classes ranged from 5:30-6:30 and then 7:15-8.
I just wanted to let everyone know to check out their local library. The class we did last night, "Tots night out" was very cute. Tomorrow night is "tots do yoga".

That is awesome. What library did you go to? The one in Wantagh is only M-F classes.

That was West Islip. I heard her say something about being in Smithtown too. The librarian told me they go to other libraries also.
