Is this for at home only or do you plan on traveling a lot?

I have two of the Medela PIS. I love them! I just put it in a reusable shopping bag when I travel with it.

I love my Medela PISA. I have been back to work 6 weeks so far and it has been easy to use/clean and I have had no trouble keeping up with my DS's daycare feeding needs with it.

I EP (Exclusively Pump) and I belong to several EPing groups on FB and so many people rave about the Spectra pump. The Medela is great also and it's one that I have.

I only have experience with Medela PIS and I loved it and would recommend it. I just don't know how it compares to any other brands.

I have the Hygeia enjoy pump and I am very happy with it. It looks exactly like the pump in the picture in your link. The pump has a closed system so you do not have to worry about any contamination getting into the pump. It is approved for multiple users so you have the option of selling it when you are done with it.

is it easy to carry? by the time I am ready to sell, it may be pointless as most people's will be covered under insurance (i think?)

Re: Which would you choose & why - breast pumps
I chose the medals because I already had one medela and was able to use the parts interchangeably. It made it easier. I also really liked the medela and found it was a very easy and efficient pump, so I knew another would likely be the same.

It is very easy to carry. There are many state/NYC insurance plans that are grandfathered and do not cover pumps--my plan is one of them even though it is a NYSHIP/empire plan. Also, not all plans cover all pumps- so someone may not like the pump that is covered by their insurance carrier and would like to buy a different brand.

I chose an Ameda Purely yours because it was free and was a closed system. Never use it, so I can't say how I like it.
