I work in an elementary school and had fifths two years ago. I had a low grade fever for five days, I didn't want to eat, my joints hurt, and once the fever broke I got the rash.

DS came down with a fever last night. As high as 103.5, he was 98.5 for awhile, and then anywhere from 99.2-101.2. I figured just something viral. When I took him out of the bath tonight his arms and legs looked a bit rashy. His pediatrician said kids don't usually get a fever with fifths, and it's worse for adults than children.

So if your child had fifths, did they have a fever with it?
