Do you dress up on Halloween to go trick-or-treating with DC?
DS (5 years old) is going to be a knight this year for Halloween. In the past I never dressed up to take him trick or treating, but this year he asked me to be a princess.
Just curious how many other parents dress up and what you're planning on dressing up as this year?

Do you dress up on Halloween to go trick-or-treating with DC?
I haven't in the past. This year my DD asked me to dress up with her. She's going to be Doc McStuffins and I was going to be Lambie but i just never got anything so I won't be dressing up this year with them.

My DD is 5 too and she also asked me to dress up this year with her. She is a witch so I said I would be a witch with her. I figure I just have to wear all black and throw on a hat. lol

I haven't in the past but, would have a hard time saying no if I was asked.
I know a lot of people in our neighborhood do dress up to go out with their kids though.

I get a cute t-shirt every year from Target that has some Halloween saying on it. Usually a black long sleeve shirt underneath. That's about as far as I go. We go with friends and she does something similar and adds cat ears.
Why not be a princess?! I think that's cute and if you don't want to go too crazy wear a tiara.

Yes. We do a family theme. We go to a Halloween party every year so costumes are always on hand.

I hadn't dressed up in about 10 years until this past Friday at my kids' school Halloween party. I was a hippie! When I brought the costume home to try it on, my oldest DD looked at me and said, "Ummm...I guess that's ok for the party, but you're not really going to wear that outside for Trick or Treating, are you?  "
She's 9.
And YES! I am planning to wear it outside!

Not really, ds is going to be a devil, I have a devil horn headband & will wear red & so will DH. We aren't wearing full costumes though.

DD is going to be Mary Poppins & she wants my husband to be Bert & me to be a penguin
I bought one of those furry penguin hats that they sell on the street corners in the city for $10.
Not my choice of costume but it will be well worth it to see her happy face, even if I do look ridiculous
