Julian's 1st Birthday Party Review with PICS
We wanted to have a special 1st Birthday Party for Julian so we chose a "Sophie La Giraffe" theme since Sophie has been his absolute favorite toy since day one! Even when he is under the weather or crabby, Sophie the French giraffe *always* brings a smile 
Julian's birthday is September 9th so we had the party Saturday, September 6th. The weather called for storms - violent storms and downpour rain right up until that day. We were so nervous as we decided to have the party at my parent's house, in their yard. So, we rented tents. It ended up that not a single raindrop fell! We were lucky. Although, it was probably the hottest, most humid day of the summer! But that's alright - it didn't rain 
Here are some pictures and I'll list some of the people I used, who were so great...

The birthday boy on his big day, Andrea also did the stickers which read: "Ooh La La, Oh What Fun - JULIAN is turning ONE!" We went with the French Giraffe theme all the way
The front door sign - BIENVENUE (Welcome in French) to Julian's First Birthday was also Andrea -- her items and talent made the entire party. Everyone commented on how personalized and I could not have done that without Andrea's creative genius!
The balloons we got at PARTY HARDY in Nesconset -- they have a website. They are GREAT because I chose from a book the styles I wanted and for $25 delivery/set up fee they sent someone the morning of who brought everything and blew up the balloons and set it all up. We had tabletop centerpieces of balloons, etc. and the person they sent was amazing. She decorated the entire yard and it was very inexpensive because I did a package with Party Hardy. They have similar listed on their website. Highly Recommended!!! Because the thought of shoving all that in my car -- yeah NO
The cake and cupcakes were done and delivered by Audrey's Bake Shop in West Sayville - my go-to place for cakes that did my wedding cake and they NEVER disappoint. I said can you do Sophie? And they RAN with it...

They were wonderful!!!! Julian loves animals so I wanted to have animals there for him and the kids. Turns out, the adults went nuts over them too. It was the hit of the party. When the two attendants brought one alpaca or llama or whatever that was in on a leash -- allllll the little goats and sheep followed into the pen. The whole party went AWW!!! it was adorable. Then, I had a pony for kids to take rides on. The attendants take care of everything and bring food for everyone to feed the animals with. They also provide hand sanitizer and clean up. It was like the animals were NEVER there afterwards. HIGHLY recommend - this made the entire party. It was very reasonably priced too...
FIL grew up on a farm in Italy so this was like taking him back in time
They also brought ducks, chicks, and rabbits...
Laura the Cookie Lady -- She is the best, I have used her before for showers, parties, etc. She is wonderful. This time, she out-did herself! She created a Sophie cookie. She had never done this kind of cookie before and it came out perfect!!! She works with Andrea, who did the tags.

We did favor boxes for the kids -- I gave out play-doh which I got from a vendor on ETSY because she did a custom label with the play-doh. I also gave out bubbles, again from ETSY because she did a custom label. Then, the gable boxes were from ETSY too and Andrea did the stickers...

We used a friend of a relative for the tents -- it was last minute! We ended up not needing them for the rain but I'm glad I got them, actually, because it provided shade :)

I have to say, this was the best money we spent. They did everything from A to Z and it was my gift to my parents for hosting us at their house. My parents did a lot of set-up work so I didn't want them doing anything on the day of. The Silver Spoon allowed them to be a guest at the party!! The set-up -- they even brought the little red wagon seen below to put the hero in, rather than the ugly board it comes on. Things like that, they had bowls and platters for things -- THAT makes them a cut above. Also, just how hard the woman worked. They were worth every penny. I will use them again and again. Highly Recommended!
I should have taken a closer picture of this, because it came out AMAZING and beautiful -- a keepsake we will always have, is Julian's progression banner with a picture from each month -- Again, Andrea did such a beautiful job and put Sophie on each picture...

We bought an adorable door pillow, decorative, from Susan at Abundant Haven on ETSY. I didn’t put it in the review but I should have – it was his little “gift”. His bedroom's theme is Beatrix Potter Peter Rabbit and her door pillows are adorable, reasonable, and she was fast/great to deal with. They make great gifts!!

Amazing mama!! When DD turned one in August, we didn't do a big party. We had a big, expensive baptism in May and DH said we should save the big party for when she's older and will understand and remember it. I'm a little sad but he was right.
You did an incredible job.
