Orange Lake. Its timeshare but you can stay without owning. Its HUGE so they have restaurants a bunch of pools, lazy river, a few water slides and tennis and gold etc.
We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit and it was great. They have 1-3 bedroom units I think.
We rented a car so I don't know about transportation but I am sure it says on their website.

Off site transportation sucks, so I would rent a car. You are limited on times, and many drop you off at Epcot and you have to take the monorail to the Transportation and Ticket Center over at the Magic Kingdom.
Marriott Harbour Lakes is great, but about 15 minutes from Disney. Timeshare resort and you can rent points or book directly. Ebay has fantastic deals (although we use points from Marriott Rewards typically). It's centered around kids. It doesn't have a million different pool areas, and it's small and manageable to walk from one pool area to the next. There is a pirate ship pool with slides, etc. and pool activities. Across the way is a huge spray park area with another pool that has zero entry dept, along with a waterslide. They also offer mini golf, and a ton of daily activities. My kids love it there. We just went a couple of weeks ago.

We just got bumped from our expedia reservation at boardwalk to Four Seasons Orlando. The resort looks superb. Originally I was pissed but now I'm ok with it because the resort looks so nice. I didn't even realize it existed. It just opened this year.

We just rent a car and stay at Marriott harbour lake. It's beautiful. The rooms are spectacular and its a place where you could spend everyday at the resort with plenty to do if you chose. We went last year for the first time and just booked same trip again for next year. It really is perfect place to stay with kids.

We own at Orange Lake and love it! I'm not sure about their transportation because we always rent a car. Another good one is Summer Bay. They definitely offer transportation and I like how many planned activities they have. Sheraton Vistana is also very nice and I'm pretty sure they offer transportation too.

We stay at the Sheraton Vistana Villages and love it. I would rent a car though - the shuttle service seemed very limited.
It's great - they offer a full kitchen and one and two bedroom units. A great way to travel with kids. The grounds are beautiful as well.

I have stayed here. Having a kitchen was great because we cooked dinner two nights to save some money.

ritz Carlton and JW Marriott Grande Lakes share a property. We've stayed at both and loved it! They have a gorgeous lazy river too at the Marriott, and no matter where you stay, you can use the grounds at both. I'd prob not stay on a Disney property again, the prices here are comparable and its way nicer. It's about a 12-15 min drive to the parks.
