Tusker House - did your kids enjoy the food?
I made a reservation for Tusker House at AK for lunch. Just looked at the menu and I'm not sure the kids will enjoy the African food.
The breakfast looks better but I hate to lose precious early morning touring time for a long breakfast. We did that once for Chef Mickey's and did not think it was worth being late for the parks.

We did the breakfast at Tuskers and my kids loved it. It had all the basics that anyone could make a meal out of- pancakes waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, cereal, pastries, etc... That said, we made reservations for before the park opened. We were maybe the third family on line for the safari after we had breakfast (which is pretty close to Tuskers). Plus walking in with no one there was kind if awesome.

Same here. We did Chef Mickeys this time and I found I enjoyed Tusker House more (we also had reservations before the park opened).

They had a kids section here that had basics. Kids had no problems finding things to eat

Out of all the restaurants at DW (especially character ones) they have the best food hands down. Choices are great.
They also had PB&J sandwiches. Like the circle sandwiches or Uncrustable ones. They also had lots of dessert too. My kids had no issues and I love the characters there too. While you wait to get called you get a picture with Donald outside of the restaurant. Our pic came out great I have it framed and on our wall now. Characters walk around and are great with the kids too. Fun and good food.

Funny - We were just talking about our favorite Disney restaurant and we talked about this one. I do thing it is one of thee best food wise for character dining. I did lunch there. I can't remember what but my kids had no problems eating there. And one of my 3 kids at that time was a pretty plain eater.

Re: Tusker House - did your kids enjoy the food?
We did the breakfast at Tusker House on the day that they had the early morning hours. However, we made the reservation for as late as possible, so we got the breakfast food and while we were there they actually changed over to the lunch, so we got the best of both worlds. It was great b/c we were able to use the morning hours and get a lot done, and then as the park started to get crowded we went to our reservation. That is how we plan all the character meals, b/c we always go in July when it tends to be more crowded and hot. After we eat, we go back to the hotel to swim/rest and then return to the parks in the afternoon.
