my 2 year old won't nap

3 weeks now, she has only napped a handful of times. this is too early to stop napping, right? what can i do? i dont want to give up naps yet...

DD went through no nap phases at around that age. Her ped said to keep offering them. Eventually it passed and she's still napping at 3 1/2. All kids are different though.

My 2 year 4 month old is doing this too. He is miserable on no nap days. I have decided to just put him in his crib and give him 45 minutes of quiet time. Usually he ends up falling asleep after 30 minutes or so then naps for like an hour. The days he downright refuses are just no good.

My nieces dropped naps at 18 months and 2. Hopefully, its just a phase but it can happen. :(

I would not give up on them! Some days it takes DD close to an hour to finally fall asleep. She knows I'm not coming to get her so for the most part she rolls around and chats or plays and eventually dozes off. Some days she complains more but I pretty much always wait it out.

My son stopped his daily nap a little before 2. He would nap maybe 2 days a week at home. I could get him to sleep if I put him in the car though. On the days he was home and didn't nap, I had him do quiet time. It wasn't a phase for him. He was completely off naps by 2.5 years old.. Too much to see and do.

My 2 year old dd hasn't napped in 7 months. The only way she will nap is in the car. She is too busy for naps.

I would say unless they are happy and content until bedtime without daily naps they still need one. My 3 year old will fall apart by 4 most days if he doesn't nap.

My dd has stopped at 2 years 2 months. She just refuses. She will fall asleep in the car but when I try to transfer she wakes up. Sometimes Ill sit in the car for a lil bit or leave her in the car and do a few things outside the house. Otherwise I just attempt the transfer full on knowing shes gonna wake up,.

She used to nap for 2 hours and still go to bed early. I noticed before she cut out the nap she was napping for 2 hours and then fighting bedtime and going to bed later and later. I find if she doesn't nap I get an early bedtime every night consistently and she sleeps later in the morning so its a tradeoff.

Every kid is different. My friends 3 year old loves to sleep and loves his naps. My dd hates it. She thinks shes going to miss stuff.

My just about twin 3yr are fighting there nap. I really wanted them to nap today because they have been sick.
I had to lay on floor of there room. If I didn't it would have turned into a circus
