Pumpkin picking rec
I'm wondering if anyone knows of a good place to go pumpkin picking with an almost-2-year-old that's not too far from mid-nassau and that can be made into a non-time-consuming event.
We want to bring her in 2 weeks, but we are closing on a house next week and unfortunately won't be able to give up a full day to pumpkin picking!
Thanks for any ideas!

We went to schmitts in Melville. There are animals (weekends) and a hayride.

Go early for both or it will be crazy and you will have to fight for parking.

Thanks for the tip! We did schmidts last year and it became an all-afternoon ordeal for exactly that reason

I think of all the places Schmidts is going to be your best bet. If you are going just for pumpkin picking I would recommend going at like 4 or 5 oclock. It will be alot less crowded!

We love Helen's Farm in Riverhead.
We have been going there for 10 years now. They have hayride, where they let you feed horses and farm animals along the way. They also have bounce houses and corn maze.
There is also great produce, homemade goods, hot apple cider, roasted corn, beautiful fall plants to buy like mums, cabbage, and fancy pumpkins.
We go out in the morning from Queens and are home in afternoon.
We always stop at Briamere's - which is right down the rode.
