What gift to get for a 4 year old girls birthday?
DS was invited to a birthday party next weekend for a 4 year old girl and I have no idea what to get her, any suggestions? My house is full of cars, trucks and trains, so I feel clueless as to what she would like.

I think arts and crafts are always a safe go to gift. My daughters love arts and craft activities. Plus they always seems to get so many dolls for their birthday. Another good gift is dress up clothes.

I agree - I have a DS (5 and a half), but whenever he gets invited to a girls' party, I do usually get arts and crafts stuff.... things like magnets that you can create patterns/pictures with (magnet cubes), there are stickers/stick on gems with the same idea, decorate your own purse, jewelry box, etc. That type of stuff. Not sure where you live but Fun Stuff Toys in Seaford (on Merrick Rd., across from 7th precinct/Seaford Oyster Bay) has a great selection of these types of gifts. I've also done things like magnet paper dolls - like paper dolls with different clothes to create outfits, but made out of magnets.
Also, another gift I've started doing for boys OR girls is a movie tix/treats gift basket. I bought a few buckets that say "popcorn" on it, and I buy a gift certificate to a local movie theater (or just a generic gift card to a big chain like AMC) in whatever amount I want to spend, and a few $1 boxes of big movie theater candy or bags of popcorn. I arrange everything in the bucket and wrap it in cellophane and a bow. It looks like a really fun gift, and it's something I think anyone can use (boy or girl, regardless of age), and you can do it for like $20 if you don't want to spend much. I think it's a good gift with the weather getting cold, and I know that sometimes a gift certificate or something like that can be more useful than a lot of "stuff." But making a gift bucket/basket out of it makes it more fun for a kid than just a paper envelope with a gift card, imo.

DD is 4.
She loves anything Disney Princess, Doc McStuffins, Peppa Pig, Sofia the First, My Little Pony.
Games, figurine play sets, Lego sets with those thenes, dress up sets, crafty stuff with those themes, loves play doh sets, etc.

If she's a girly girl, she may go crazy for accessories like hair bows, head bands, fake jewelry, tights, etc. I'm thinking of a four year old I know who LOVES that sort of stuff.

dd is 4 she loves barbies, doc mcstuffins, Disney princess, she loves dress to clothes/shoes, baby dolls. Play-doh coloring/markers stickers.

Yes! Word for word. My Dd is 3 1/2 and anything Disney Princess for her. She also loves Play-Doh. I plan on clearing out the Disney Store for Christmas lol.

Dd just turned 4. She got lots of frozen stuff - pjs, books, hair stuff. Jewelry and hair stuff from places like Claire's. Melissa and doug stuff - big sticker book, beads for making necklaces, make-your-own tiara.
