Personal topic about BCP's
Well, really just my personal feelings on the subject. In a couple of weeks I'm suppose to start taking the mini pill to control my severe Endometriosis. Well, for some reason I'm just REALLY upset that I have to do this. I've never taken any kind of BCP before in my life. We've always used condoms and the pull and pray even with condoms.
Now don't bash me for saying this, it's just how I feel about it. The thing is for me in my own head, besides being against taking any medication forget about BCP's on a daily basis it's just hard for me to accept. BCP to me are wrong. You can try to prevent a PG anyway you can without medication, but if you were meant to get PG even using other methods than it was meant to be. Especially for me since being told that both my PG's were miracles. I just feel that taking BCP is a way of preventing the baby that was "suppose to be" you know? I may sound stupid, but it's just how I feel. I know that me taking the pill isn't to prevent PG exactly, it's to control the Endo. It's just for some reason I can't get past this thought. Now I just had the baby so I'm not looking to get PG anytime soon, but the thought of "messing with fate" really upsets me. My DH says if our money situation doesn't get any better than we're done with having kids, but there might be a chance we can have another and with having the Endo and then taking the pill I'm afraid it'll only mess up my "insides" even more than it already is. I don't know what to think. I know it's about my health and I'm going to have to do what I have to do, I just feel heartbroken about going on the BCP soon. Do I sound crazy or stupid? I'm really clueless about BCP too so it doesn't help. Thanks for listening and I hope I didn't offen anyone!

I think you just need to think of it as a medicine, not as a form of preventing pregnancy. Many a young girl are put on the pill years before they are sexually active to control periods, hormones, etc. Yes, most use it to prevent pregnancy, but there are other medical uses for it.
