Pediatrician recommendation

My husband and I are expecting our first baby in 2 weeks (I know, nothing like waiting until the last minute!) and we have yet to start looking at pediatricians.

My OB recommended Dr. Gerba at MDs 4 Kids in Great Neck and I was wondering if anyone had any experience (good or bad) with this practice. Are there any pediatricians you would recommend?

We are located in Forest Hills so we would prefer to stay either in our neighborhood or in Manhasset/great neck/new hyde park area - no further east than that.

i lived in forest hills and had people recommend Forest Hills Pedaitrics

However, I ended up with Kidz Kare of great neck.
I liked Dr Amanda Lefkowitxz and Dr Marvin Resmovits
Unfortunately i HATED their front office staff. I had 2 appts that i showed up for and they didnt have me down for (i even had the appt card showing the date/time of my appt). so they "squeezed me in." I showed up 10 minutes late one day with my newborn (it was her 2 month check up) and they told me bc i was late i needed to reschedule! Thankfully a nurse was kind enough to notice i had a newborn and i was exhausted and over tired...she arranged for the doctor to see me. They also are terrible when it comes to filing out paperwork.

We went to FHs Pediatrics from when DS was born until 18 months old (when we moved to LI). I really liked their practice a lot. All of the drs were great (Dr. Kim was our favorite though). The hours are great and they ALWAYS squeezed us in when we needed an appt. Wait times were rarely long and front desk staff was good. I'd highly recommend them.
