My MIL is going to be the death of me
Ever just have that feeling like you just can't win? I swear I am damned if I do, damned if I don't with that woman.  It is like she is forgetting the basic rule we all learn in 1st grade- if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all. Just venting, feeling down about it tonight.

Many ... feeling the same way with my IL's these days.... when you just can't win. No advice but yes it's very disappointing.

This. My MIL is actually crazy (real diagnosed mental issues but she does nothing about them). So I have always just tried to ignore her. That was until my DH was away for work and she was in my house and told me I'm ungrateful.
I kicked her out of my house and is not allowed back. If she wants to see my son she needs to call my DH and arrange a visit at her house through him.
My life has been drama free since. I love it. I am sure my DH hates it cause now he has to deal with her all the time rather than ignoring her.

Same exact situation...literally. Haven't seen or spoken to her in a year. Only diff is dh doesn't see or talk to her either. Ok, so maybe diff lol. But similar

I get why some daughters in law say nothing and just put up with their bitchy MIL's - its for a quiet life but is it really? This is your life and she will be in it for a number of years so are you really going to let someone treat you like shit just because she has the title of MIL. So I say stand up for yourself and stick to your guns.

Thank you ladies!  I am sorry you all also have to deal with a MIL from hell. She is not mentally ill, she is just a *****. In her eyes, her son could have done better and her grandsons deserve a better mother. I am 13 weeks pg with twins- babies # 3 & 4. Tonight she says to me, "you know Christine, you should probably know that twins are a terrible idea". You are to easy to lose your patience with the 2 you already have." Really lady? I didn't CHOOSE twins, but DH & I feel we were BLESSED with two more wonderful children to love. And what would she like me to do, sign one kid over for adoption? Some days she is SO loving & kind to me, and I think that maybe she isn't that bad. But those feelings never last long/.

Oh no she didn't!!! Serioulsy though, thats bananas. I'd probably flip my shit on her. So sorry you are going through this.
