Christmas dress
I know it's kind of early, but we need to take photos relatively soon! DD can go both into 24 mos infant or 2t toddler sizes.
Any thoughts on where I can get a traditional-looking Christmas dress (i.e. Fabric and Details like rich Velvet, silk, smocking, lace)? I'm not really into glitter and sequins and tulle for Christmas. I'm very underwhelmed by janie and jacks selection this year, as well as carters, gymboree, childrens place. Thanks in advance!

I am looking too. Let me know what you find! There was a red velvet dress at babiesrus but it was probably Carter's, which you looked at already.

have you tried looking at the brand Bonni Baby (for up to 24 months) and Bonnie Jean for 2t +? they have gorgeous dresses and can be found at almost any huge retailer like macys, kohls, dillards...and usually you can find them drastically discounted at century21 but that's touch and go

Laura Ashley had nice ones last year. I always check rue lala, gilt, and haute look.

Zulily has Fantasie Kids right now which is what I got DD last year. They have a lot of the smocked styles. I have a 24 month red corduroy dress with white smocking I'd be willing to sell if you're interested. I know corduroy sounds weird for christmas but it's cute and does look a little like velvet in pics.

Also a big fan of this brand! I bought my DDs matching holiday rompers for our pictures this year.

Re: Christmas dress
I agree. I'm a Janie & jack or gymboree fan... But they missed the mark this year in terms of fall & winter dress selection.

I saw this on zulily! I,love the navy smocked one but DH thinks it's not Christmas-y enough because it's blue!
