Start of school year...
and of course we all get colds. Ugh! Started with my kindergartner and then we all got it shortly after. LOL! My friend who's son is also in DS's class said her DS had a cold and I said we were all fine here. Well, spoke to soon bc the next morning he had a cold. Loading up on Elderberry syrup and slowly getting better here.

Start of school year...
Gotta say.. AJ misses this bullet. She has been in all day (11hrs) care since 15weeks. Pre-k from 7:30 am to 6pm. She's in school now from 7am to 6pm. I am not 100% certain that helped build up her immunities but I figure it didn't hurt. Those first two years of daycare she was CONSTANTLY fighting something.
SO FAR she's never taken a sick day in school. That first week of Kindergarten I was just waiting for it to happen. About half the kids in her class got some cold, stomach bug, fever, running nose, etc. It stayed constant for a good solid month or so as allergies also kicked in. But AJ didn't get more than a sniffle
This year *I* got a bad allergy case and she had a sore throat and a fever one day. I thought we'd finally have a sick day but she pulled through again.
Next up.. the flu shot cycle. Flu shots are already being given out but once the campaign starts, there's usually about 1/4 the kids that get sick. AJ comes home talking about the flu and who got the flu shot. We refuse it.
Then they go home for xmas break and come back sick in January. Then spring allergies. I swear.. its a clockwork process.
Here's to hoping we get through the year again unscathed!
I guess there's the other lucky part, we never seem to share being sick around our house. (so far......)
She lives off of allergy meds (every. single. day) so it would be hard to know when a sniffle is more than a sniffle, ya know? But so far no fevers for school!

first week here sick too and have been for over a week now. Started with dd1, then dd2, then me, and now dh. It's been almost 2 weeks from the start. And I wound up in urgent care yesterday morning with a nasty ear infection that seems to not want to go away. we have never been so sick.

Re: Start of school year...
It's awful. My older dd is in prek and has has two colds so far. My youngest of course caught we it from her sister. The problem is that she has asthma so a cold always turns into her wheezing. She been on steroids 2x bow since school started

Re: Start of school year...
I work in a school and am on antibiotic #2 for a stubborn and painful ear infection.
DD is getting over a cold and has already had conjunctivitis.
And yeah, this is 2 weeks into the school year...
