Re: gentlease
ds was on it and he spit up from it...plus he would arch his back a lot. turns out he had a milk protein allergy so we had to switch him to nutramigen. he is still spitting up on that too though...seeing the ped tomorrow

My DS was on it and did not spit up.
I think you need to discuss everything with your Ped because it seems like you are trying too many things.

Re: gentlease
Yes but it wasn't related to the formula. It was her reflux. Nothing really worked for her. Now at 6 months she has pretty much grown. Out of it.

I agree.
Also - is she uncomfortable when she spits up? My DS spit(s) up A LOT, but he is (usually) a happy spitter and gaining weight. My ped is not concerned.

Re: gentlease
Yes. Because she had acid reflux and needed to be on an AR formula. Switched to the Target version of Enfamil AR and she was much better. She also needed meds- Axid from the dr. She wasn't just a happy spitter though- she was volcano vomiting- like the whole bottle would come flowing out of her mouth, it was scary the first time I saw it! She would also arch her back and fight the bottle.

Yes but it wasn't related to the formula. It was his reflux. I am hoping he will grow out of it in a few months.

I said this in the other thread and I agree.
You should not switch formula without speaking to your pediatrician.

My son is like this too. I call him the stealth spitter upper. He's happy and playing and then all of a sudden spit up everywhere.
I asked his Ped and he said it's fine.

Re: gentlease
DS was on it and spit up from 2.5 months until 7 months. I don't necessarily blame Gentlease.... I think he was just a happy spitter and would have been no matter what he ate. It was so annoying tho!

Re: gentlease
Dd was on it for a while and it didn't work. It made her colic worse. We ended up on Ferber good start gentle after 5 formulas

Re: gentlease
talk to your ped about switching formulas, or maybe even a pediatric GI.... I tried my DS on similac sensitive, enfamil gentlease, and finally ended up with similac alimentum.

Re: gentlease
Constantly switching formula is not good for the baby. I know you're in Brooklyn and there is a fantastic pediatric GI there if you are interested in seeing one. You should really speak to a doctor before repeatedly changing formula.
FM me if you want the GI's name.
