Go to ped for rash?
My son has had a low fever for 2 days, no fever today. He had a rash by his eat and on his bottom. Looks like blisters, some look like there may be puss. Should I take him to Ped? Will there be anything they can really do? Thanks moms!!

I would call and talk to the doctor. My dd pediatrician will often determine if I need to bring her in after a phone consult.

Re: Go to ped for rash?
Fever followed by blistery rash sound like coxsackie. I would take him to confirm, especially because it is highly contagious so it would be better to know if you need to keep him away from others for a bit.

Go to ped for rash?
Absolutely! A few times my daughter had a diaper rash that was bacterial and another time fungal. Needed creams both times. Another time coxsackie. Noting you can do for it but good to know as it's very contagious

Re: Go to ped for rash?
I would go. Could be coxsackie or even chicken pox. Better safe than sorry. At least the dr will tell you when he is no longer contaigious.

Go to ped for rash?
Yes. When dd was younger I took her maybe 1-2x due to a horrible rash. Mupirocin rx cream always cleared it.
