no more naps?!?!
when did your LO decide they no longer wanted to nap???
DD is 18+ months old and yesterday for the first time she went all day without napping. not for lack of me trying - she was in her crib "resting" for a very long time, but never fell asleep. I am hoping its a one time thing and she goes back to her 2+ hour nap today

Re: no more naps?!?!
My DS is 2 and he still naps. He does have some days though, where he just refuses to nap. I think its probably just a one time thing and wouldn't worry.

no more naps?!?!
DS is 3 and still naps. Anywhere from 2-4 hours a day and is in bed by 830 at night. There are days he does not nap and those are okay, but a rarity. He isn't getting a nap mon-fri anymore though because of school. And he is a miserable little one by 5pm. Going to have to come up with a better plan, because it is not working for us without him having a nap.

no more naps?!?!
My daughter stopped napping around 2. Before that, there were days where she didn't nap and she was fine. But, my son on the other hand was a beast if he didn't nap and did so until around 3.

around 18 months, DS went through some sleep regression where he stopped napping most days. About 2 weeks later, he went back to normal and now (at almost 2 years old), he naps once a day for about 3 hours each.

This, exactly. Keep trying!

Re: no more naps?!?!
My DD is 4 and still naps I've read up on sleep a lot because my DS was a terrible sleeper at first... 18m is waaayyy too early to drop naps, I'd consider it a phase and keep trying! What time are starting the nap? Maybe move it back a bit?

Re: no more naps?!?!
I agree with the previous poster. My Dd is almost 3 1/2 and she still naps. She went through a phase where she refused them for a while when she was around 2 maybe later. Her ped told me to keep offering them. So I did and it ended up being just a phase. If she doesn't have a nap, she's a nightmare.

I agree that it is wayyy to early to give up naps...i just need HER to realize that too lol She so far hasnt napped yet today either...but is in her crib. She wakes around 8:30am and I put her down at 1:30/2pm. She used to sleep 2+ hours waking between 4 and 4:30. I cant imagine pushing it back much later because bedtime is 7:45pm. She was in her crib from 1:45pm - 4:40pm yesterday just resting, but not sleeping

Way too young to stop napping! I'd assume it's a phase and keep putting her down for naps and she will eventually get back to it.

no more naps?!?!
My son stopped dropping naps on weekends around 2y3m. It became too time consuming and painful for me to try to put him down. All he really needs is a cat nap here and there. If kept busy he can make it the whole day.
He still naps at daycare though - no issue.

at 22 months my DS will go some days without a nap, and then others he'll sleep 3+ hours. No rhyme or reason to it. I've learned to just go with the flow and days we skip a nap we go to bed a little earlier.
Keep trying !

Re: no more naps?!?!
My son stopped taking his daily nap at 23 months old.. He would sleep in the car or take a cat nap at home.. I would put him down and he would just lay there, but after 20 minutes he would start crying. Hard. Which led to a pukefest.. Not worth it... I was not ready for that.. By the time he was 2.5 y/o, he stopped napping almost altogether...

Ohh 8:30, that's nice! Not sure what your priorities are, but would you consider waking her up earlier in the morning to see if that makes her sleepier? I think my kids are such good nappers because they wake up early..
DS (16m) - wakes between 6/630, naps at 1:00 for 2-3 hours DD (4y) - wakes between 630/7, naps at 1:30/2:00 (I wake her up by 3:30 or it ruins bedtime)
But, again, I'm sure it's a phase so maybe manipulating her schedule isn't worth it
