MOMS of 2 or MORE, come on in
So share your day with me please.
PLEASE tell me, there's NO such thing as a perfect house, a perfect world where all the kids follow a pretty colorful chart set forth by the Supernanny, and that Im NOT alone
I adore my boys. Theyre rambunctious, funny, clever and so darn cute but some days, I can barely put laundry away
We do plenty to keep them entertained. we have playdates with friends as well as more structured programs. Theyre in school 2 days/wk, and the times that we're home (we're usually all home at least one or 2 days/wk), I try to spend some time reading to them, playing with them, and they play in the backyard, watch some tv, paint, color, the usual. But they never seem to have enough. I feel like I cant finish getting water for one, when the other wants juice, and then the phone rings, while the baby cries for a bottle (oh thats right, tHE BABY, forgot about him he's such a great baby, that he's so easy to forget about for a brief moment ) then when I hold the baby, they wanna kiss and hug and touch him, a little overbearing with it, but I try not to yell at them for kissing him, that wouldnt make sense
I really do think going from one to 2, was HARDER than 2 to 3 (we've already been to small playgroups at playgrounds a couple of times) but I guess the whole dynamic of 2 toddlers and a sweet little infant who doesnt ask for much... and laundry to put away, and dishes to put away, and phone calls, dr apptmts to make, etc etc etc. I know everyone has this in some way or another. and im not really complaining (jsut asking for someone to sit on the couch and vent with me ) but Im lucky if I get a moments silence to even follow my own thoughts....
IS this the norm out there, do any of you have a system that works?

Kids being satisfied? Where have you heard that. It's never enough. Rob's sister still says "nothing we ever do is enough for her" about Haley, and she's going to be 12 next week and she's an only child.
Please I have one child and he consumes my time. My bedroom looks like 5 hurricanes hit it. Yesterday he had a 2 hour nap but I was in the room with him the whole time cuz the minute I leave the room he's up...I'm like "I just sat with him for two hours". Sometimes I can't even leave the room to go to the bathroom for fear that he'll get up. This kid is pyscho! I could leave my whole wardrobe near him and he'll still feel it when I leave the room. I might as well crazy glue his *** to my hip...

And just wait till the day comes where he says "ma don't kiss me in front of my friends"...I'll make sure his friends know about the days when mommy couldn't leave him alone. Oh and each time he says to not kiss him in front of his friends is when i'll do it more.
And I'll tell all his girlfriends and future wife. It's called payback. If he thinks he's getting away with what he's putting me through then he is sadly mistaken. I love my little man to death but he's still going to pay for what he's doing...LOL

maria told me she was heartbroken when her son said that to her, but at home, hes the biggest mush and mama's boy, boys are the best
Imagine having to split yourself into three, I dont know where to turn my head these days so when Im really burnt I give them tickle-fest attacks, and they love every minute

No matter how mad and crazy they make you all they have to do is give you that cute smile and it's over. You just melt.
And I can't wait till the day where he starts putting his arms around me and saying "I love you mommy".

Re: MOMS of 2 or MORE, come on in
My house feels the same way a lot of the time. I keep asking my mom "What am I doing wrong? I can barely get the diswasher unloaded some days." I tend to clean and do laundry on the weekend when DH can spend time with them, but I feel like then we have very little time where we all play together.

Your not alone Anna. I am having some people over on Wednesday and I started cleaning up last week, that's how much aof a disaster my house is. And the horrible part is I've learned to accept it and live that way. It doesn't bother me anymore that the kitchen floor hasn't been mopped in 2 weeks, the dirty laundry is laying all over the floor or overflowing out of Lauren's hamper, or that the weekend projects my loving DH started 6 years ago still aren't done (I'll save the "constant state of construction" woes for another post)........ My house is very lived in, its not a museum. I don't know who is more of a mess maker, Andrew or Dan?? We're all clean, fed and doing well, that's what counts, right?

Well...it is 12 45am, I have another load still in the washer, more dishes to do that didn't fiit in the machine after company this weekend, and I don't remember if I showered today....that is pretty typical here. :) Mine are 1 year apart, 2 and 3.
