Flight to Cozumel

Has anyone ever flown from NY to Cozumel?
I saw a great all inclusive place but the airfare was more than the entire week's price and it showed that it would take 18 hrs. to get there (with stop overs).

Cozumel is an island off the coast of Playa del Carmen. Look into flying into Cancun.
From there you can get a private car or taxi or I think there are buses to Playa del Carmen. Then you can take the ferry over to Cozumel.
I would probably go with a private car company and have reservations already in place. Look at the company's that Liberty Travel or Apple Vacations or Orbitz etc use for transfers and use one of those company's to pick you up at Cancun Airport and take you to Playa del Carmen.
I don't think I would take a taxi nor would I want to take a bus.
Then you'll have to figure out how to get to your hotel from the ferry once your on Cozumel.
I think that's what most people do when they go to Cozumel.

I agree. If you can't get a direct to Cozumel, fly to cancun. Look into either USA Transfers or Canada Transfers to the ferry in Playa del Carmen. Then take the ferry. You can probably just grab a taxi when you get to Cozumel to your hotel. No need to take a long flight with stop overs like that.
