How much would you pay?

Thinking of asking my nanny if she would want to come with us to great wolf lodge for two nights . I have two year old triplets. We usually pay her $18/hour but I obviously can't afford that for two overnights. I was thinking of offering her $250. What do you think?

Sounds fair, but I'd be clear with her about how many hour you expect her to be "on" and when she'd have her own down time, whether you're paying for meals, etc.

Re: How much would you pay?

How many hours would you expect her to work?

I think $250 sounds low. I would not expect to pay her hourly rate times 24 hrs but I would expect to pay her hourly wage times 8 hours per at minimum.

I think that sounds low. It's basically three days of her time, so I would pay based on three, full-time days. Somewhere around $450. seems fair. .

id offer her what you are willing/able to pay. If you are her only job she may choose to go over losing money. Also give her some time to herself each day and I think it sounds like a sweet deal.

How much would you pay?

I used to babysit and went to Vermont with a family to babysit for the weekend- most specifically for a wedding the parents had, but I stayed with the child in the hotel and the parents had their own room. I believe they gave me about $250, and I wouldn't have expected much more than that.. I was very close with them though (not sure if that altered my feelings about things)

Re: How much would you pay?

Thanks. We love her, she is amazing. I wouldn't want to lowball her but I can't see spending 50 percent of the cost of the trip for an extra set of hands. Maybe I'll offer her $300. She can always say no. We would of course pay for all her meals etc and give her free time. Personally I wouldn't do it for $1000 :) my kids are sweet but rough...

Your brave to even try this at there age. I feel like its to much work between getting them dressed, nap time etc. Most rides are for the big kids....I only have twins. LOL
Good Luck to you!!
