Woolverton Inn questions
DH's 30th birthday and our 1st wedding anniversary are coming up in September. I really wanted to take him up to Warwick and stay at the Glenwood House in the cottages but they're no longer open. I came across the Woolverton Inn and fell in LOVE! The only way we'd stay there would be in the cottages though. They're so expensive but they look amazing.
For those of you who have stayed there before, which cottages did you stay in and which did you like the most?
Also, what is there to do in the area in the fall (I'd plan the trip for mid October so we get some foliage)?

Re: Woolverton Inn questions
Umm HELLO!
Biggest fan of that place!!!
I am so grateful to the fellow LIFers who recommended it!
DH and I stayed in the Hunterdon Cottage - I, like you, only wanted a cottage and yes it is worth every penny. First of all, the bathtub was my favorite and the BED is so comfortable you'll never want to get out of it -- the goose-down comforters and pillows, the linens and sheets. It's just beautiful.
We liked the Hunterdon because of the cupola - it's got nice tall ceilings with light coming in at the top. The fireplace was beautiful. So, that'll be nice if you are going in October and it's chilly at night.
The Hunterdon overlooks the sheep pasture and we had sheep right outside our windows! It was adorable.
They serve you breakfast in the morning - you can either go to the main house and eat or request it delivered in bed - we totally went for it delivered in bed, it was SO nice.
The other cottage I was considering was the Soujorn Loft but that was even more money so we didn't go for it but that was OK because we really loved the Hunterdon. It was hard choosing! They are all beautiful.
The Audobon is nice too - great tub.
What's nice is that all of the cottages have a gorgeous fireplace, plenty of space, overlook the pasture, they are separate and private -- plus they each have beautiful soaking/jetted tubs. So, you can't go wrong - the difference is decor.
And there's tons to do there - we loved the little down for antique shopping and browsing. The other thing that was really nice - google their area vineyards. They have REALLY good wine there, you would never think! But we did an entire day touring the vineyards and wine/cheese tasting.
We did tubing down the Delaware River but it was summer so you could do that then. But, it is a beautiful and scenic walk - they have trails and you can rent bikes and ride.
OK hope that helps! Enjoy! Totally go - worth it, it is SO relaxing and SO peaceful. They have no televisions in the room and at first I was like OMG lol but honestly, I'm so glad - it was the best way to really rest, reconnect, etc. and it forced us to go out and do more and stay in and really spend time together.
As for restaurants - I don't recall the names but we took advice from the front desk and everywhere we went was delicious.
We also did couples spa treatments at a spa that the inn keeper recommended.
Hope that helps!

Re: Woolverton Inn questions
Stayed in audubon too. It was okay. I was disappointed because to me the cottages are not true cottages. First it was smaller than I expected. Also i think it is next to the sojourn loft and lets just say you hear noises above your head. The "cottages" have at least one other cottage room attached. Granted the door might be facing a different way but to me its not as private as they advertise. Keep in mind there is no tv but I knew this before going just giving you a heads up.
The sheep out of the window was the best part of the entire place. The restaurants and area are also very charming though. I would probably stay in a different room.
