DS is almost 4 months and...

He's still not showing signs of reaching out and touching things like his toys. Is this normal at his age?

I know I should be grateful right now because I will regret it once he does start touching things and won't stop.

is he laying under a gym mate that has hanging things so he can try to grab or are they next to him on the floor?

I had the Baby Einstein one and used it since she was a couple weeks old. Do you have a bouncy seat with a toy bar, a crib mobile?

I think you should definitly invest in some sort of mate. Those hanging things will entice him to go and reach. We have this one
gym mate one and this one gym mate two
They are both inexpensive and they can use it until probably the most a year old if they still have interst in it.

I have a BRU gift card maybe I should use to buy a mat.

His bouncy seat does have hanging things on them.
