PR or Aruba

We want to plan a trip this Fall. I am thinking a week in November.

I'd like to go to either Puerto Rico or Aruba.

Any recommendations?
Where to stay?
Which island you prefer?

I have been to PR once before and loved it. Stayed at the InterContinental. I noticed the Ritz had great rates that time of year, too.

Neither of us have been to Aruba, but have heard great things. Any hotel recs? We are not big on all inclusives, especially b/c it seems like Aruba is an island worth exploring.

Also - I will be in my second trimester, if that means anything...

I have never been to PR, but we've been to Aruba twice within the past year. That's how much we love it. We have stayed at the Radisson both times. It's a little pricey, but the location is great, the beach is amazing and the rooms are nice.

Been to both and love them both! Tough choice, I can't help you lol

We stayed at radisson in Aruba , and I can't remember where in PR. It was near the ritz. If you go to PR visit culebra island (flamenco beach) it's beautiful.

Re: PR or Aruba

I love both islands for different reasons.

PR has some beautiful hotels and old San Juan is great with some cute places to walk around and restaurants

Aruba is a farther flight. The ritz just opened there last winter. I would not do an all inclusive bc they are known for their restaurants on the island.

This. I have been to both, but more to Aruba since we have a timeshare there. Only to PR once a long time ago. Aruba is great! Beautiful hotels, calm waters, easy to walk everywhere and great shopping. THe island itself is barren so not as beautiful, but you really only see that on the drive to the resort. There's also great restaurants and it's safe to walk around.

PR is beautiful. Beaches are beautiful and great resorts too. Either way you can't go wrong, but between the two I'd pick Aruba bc I know it well and I have an amazing time each year I go.

Aruba... but I go every year and I am biased. I recommend the Marriott. I think it is a waste to do all inclusive as the food is great and there are as many great restaurants

This is where DH wanted to go for our 1 yr anni but the flights were more than we wanted to spend right now. The W Vieques looks amazinggg!!

We went to Aruba for our Honeymoon and stay at the Marriott Ocean beach club and it was out of this world! We had the best time! The weather was amazing and the people were so nice and the food...omg, sooo good!
