Update-c section scar is puffy and "leaking"

Hi everyone
I had a c section 3 weeks ago. At my ob follow up I was told to rub the scar to break up any scar tissue. Of course once I got home, I realized that along the last inch of the scar, I felt a jellybean sized knot. Well I think it's gotten bigger/puffier and a little longer than Friday. Last night my big bloomers felt wet right on top of the bump. I spoke to the ob on call and she said put gauze on it and to go to the office on Monday.

So I'm sitting here with gauze since 3am but I'm nervous.
I called the emergency number again but the same ob is on call- I was hoping for a different doctor/different advice because I don't think too highly of the one that I spoke with. I figured this was the next best place- have any of you ever experienced this? Were you advised to do anything different?

Just in case anyone else has this- I saw the doctor today and was told it's fairly common for a repeat c section. In my case it isn't bad so instead of draining it or antibiotics they told me to apply warm compresses and go back in 2 days for follow up. Whew

The gauze is just there to absorb any fluid that is draining when you go in on Monday the doctor will look at it and see if something needs to be done or just leave it.

Not much you can do until you see a doctor I think.

It sounds like an infection possibly. I never had any issues with my scars so I can't really help you with that. I would assume if they really thought it was something horrible they would have told you to go to the ER instead of waiting to go to the dr. on Monday. Hope everything is ok!

My SIL had this happen to her after her C section she was put on anti biotics and it cleared up fairly quickly

Similar thing happened to me after my first csection, it ended up being an infection- my incision opened and I needed to have my wound packed until it closed up
