Booking hotel with Child under 2
When you're booking online with a child under 2, do you have to indicate that you have one child?
Do I have to choose 2 adults, 1 child if it's me, my husband and my six month old?

I would include them, but for a child that young, I would say it doesn't matter. Usually, it doesn't even matter if I select 1 adult or 2. You just have to be careful if the number of people would affect the rate (like if it's a rate including meals then 2 adults might cost more than 1) so you have to select the correct number of people.

I don't think it matters. I booked our Florida hotel stay online as 2 adults; but I called the hotel directly to let them know I had a toddler with me and to request a crib in the room.

We just went on vacation with my 3 month old and I did not indicate that we had one child.

I always indicate a child. It's not like you pay per person so what's the difference. Besides, when we get to the hotel they usually have a little present for dd

Some places you do pay more, namely when you book through Orbitz (even if the hotel doesn't charge a fee for a child), so I guess it depends on how you are booking. I think it's scummy when places charge for a child.
