NYC teachers- job related
Hi all- so I have a question. My cousin recently relocated from CA to NY. She completed all her exams certs etc. I pointed her in the direction of NYC since I know teaching on long island is quite difficult to get into. She completed the application and was admitted to the teacher finder. Does she now have to contact each school or will her resume be searched on there and she will be contacted? If anyone knows any other assistance it would be greatly appreciated!!! She has a general and special education cert (b-6) and a literacy cert (b-6).
TIA

I always thought it was best to personally send your resume/cover letter to each individual school. I don't think its an actual requirement....more of a suggestion HTH :)

She should send her resumes to schools in the districts she is interested in. If she is living in LI she probably wants to pick schools at the beginning of Queens. There are soooo many schools in Queens. Sh eis more likely to get hired in NYC under her Special Ed license.
