Spinoff to having another child

Would you start trying to have a child a little sooner than originally planned (by give or take 6 months) based on a job?

I keep saying I want dd to be a lil closer to 3, she just turned 2.

A job is never guaranteed so I would not base TTC on your job.

I was 8 months pregnant when I was laid off. 4 months later DH was laid off. We had a 2.5 month old newborn and no income. We never could have foreseen any of this happening. Thankfully we had enough money saved to get us through a really hard year.

But my point is, your job is not a guarantee, neither is how long it might take you to get pg. I'd TTC if and when you are ready for #2.

I would not start TTC based on a job or finances. The only thing that would (and did) influence my decision to TTC would be fertility issues. I put my career on hold and rearranged my "plan" when I was diagnosed with premature ovarian failure. You can pay for COBRA or NYS health insurance if you left you current job.
