Window or Aisle on a plane (w/lap child)

If you're flying with LO (by yourself) do you prefer to have the window or aisle? I would think aisle for ease of getting up as needed?

What has everyone found to work best? Thanks

Window. I don't get up. And if my ds was sleeping the last thing I would want to do is get up for somone else.

That's hard because I would want the Aisle for the ease of getting up for the bathroom if LO had to be changed. But I do agree with PP that a window would be better if the LO is sleeping and someone in the row needed to get up.

Good point-I only thought of it from the aspect of ME wanting to get up...but didn't think about someone sitting beside me needing to get up.

I have an aisle currently booked; i can switch to the window in a row that has an empty middle seat (fingers crossed it stays empty)

Im with nraboni here. I prefer window MYSELF but with AJ I'd always get aisle. Never know if they need to be changed or at older age, restroom break or walk around if you can.

You'd want me at your window tho.. I NEVER get up! LOL

Aisle--you never know how your child will be. My DD has been on several flights and sometimes she passes out, sometimes she screams.

So I'd rather inconvenience myself and get up for the window passenger if they have to use the restroom, over sitting at the window and inconveniencing the aisle passenger if I constantly had to get up with my crying child.

Isle. Flew w dd alone and once I had to get up and use the bathroom and a few times she needed a little walk. She napped laying on me and the isle was definitely better bc I had a bit more room.

My DS is also obsessed with looking out the window so he would be sitting on the lap of the person I the window seat to see out.

How old is your child?

Baby - def window.
Mobile Toddler - I would take the aisle

I have always request aisle seat with DS. Chances are, I am going to have to get up with him.

Definitely aisle that way you can get up and down without bothering anybody.
