I missed it but started watching some around 3am lol obviously I fell asleep 
but I will watch on Showtime on Demand today because it looked really good

I think I liked it, lol! It actually prompted me to start reading the book last night. Which gave me more clarity than the show did, ha!

Was there only one book? I don't think I'd want to ruin the show by reading the book now.
I think they're intentionally leaving you in the dark about a lot of things so they can control the reveal. The dog, for example, and the wife. I felt it was more powerful to find that out in the last 10 minutes than if they had started off with it.
I liked it, and like the premise as well. I asked DH what he thought and he said it was kind of depressing. So I might be watching this one alone from now on.

I was really confused by the show. I didn't understand the flashbacks, why was the sheriff running naked and seeing animals all the time, why did his son see people jumping off the roof. It seems to me that the sheriffs family was almost unaffected so why did they all go nuts, the mother joining the white group and the son following some "prophet". Why was the prophet only keeping Asian girls? I'll watch again but it definitely isn't one of my favorite pilots.

I sure as hell didn't go to parties like THAT in HS. OMG I was like are there really spin the bottle apps? I never thought about it lol I searched the app store and there are tons lol but I couldn't find that one so I'm not sure if that one is real lmao.

It was a little dark for my taste of TV shows (I usually like to unwind with comedies), but I really love the book and Tom Perrotta (the author). It looks like it will be a good replacement for LOST.

So what did we think? I liked it! I am really curious how this will all pan out... I hope the show lasts and we find out!
I am so curious about the GR- and the woman who lost her family---- and I was pissed when that little snob of a friend stole the jellybeans. Also, why is she in cahoots with the preacher? He thinks the people who disappeared were sinners right- or just not all of them?
