shower gifts
If you received gifts to your house before your shower did you open it, bring it to shower or wait until after shower?
My friends think I should wait til after. I dont know why nutton will change inside the box lol. N if anyone is at the shower I would announce their gift n say thanks

We have opened...so far the only ones received were from those unable to attend the shower.
I'm holding off on sending thank you cards to all till after the shower.

We opened them as we received them. We sent thank you cards as we received the gifts, except for the ones that arrived a week or so before the shower. We mailed those out with all of the ones for people who attended the shower. We did not schlep anyone's shipped gift to the actual shower.

Yup this. For those that were at the shower but they sent bigger gifts, I acknowledged and thanked them at the shower.

We opened them at home and I printed a picture of the item and acknowledged the person at the shower while opening gifts. Some people sent big items to the house and came to the shower.
We did thank you cards at one time after the shower.

I didn't send out thank you til after the shower, which was good because many people gave us additional small things at the shower.

I opened right away, made note of who gave what and made sure to mention the gift and thank them when I saw them at the shower. I waited till after the shower to send all thank you cards out together.

opened the gifts right away, then kept track of who sent what so I was able to send a thank you card.

The host of my shower did this, so I could thank the people at the shower that gave gifts that were shipped to the home.
All thank you cards were mailed at the same time.

I ripped them open then messaged them thank you.
I am waiting till after the birth to send the thank you cards because I am still receiving them. I wanted to make my thank you cards a photo of our baby.
